Swim School rules
Here are some important guidelines to follow, so that our Swim School continues to run smoothly.
Before lessons:
- Please do not go swimming in the leisure pool before your lesson – we want you to have plenty of energy and focus!
- Arrive in plenty of time for your lesson – we recommend at least 5 minutes prior to start time.
- Swimmers must wait to go to the side of the pool until the instructor is present and ready.
- Swimmers should never enter the pool until the instructor invites them in.
- Absolutely no swimming if the child has had diarrhoea and/or vomiting in the last 24 hours.
- No swimming if unwell.
- No running poolside.
During lessons:
- Must be in appropriate swimwear.
- No spitting water at anyone.
- Keep your hands and feet to yourself.
- Be kind to your classmates.
- Long hair must be tied up and/or under a swim cap.
- Disrespectful/dangerous behaviour will not be tolerated – from students or parents/guardians.
- Parents/guardians of swimmers seven and under must remain poolside for the entirety of the lesson.
After lessons:
- Swimmers must exit the pool immediately after the lesson has finished – no playing in empty pool spaces.
- Students should go directly to parents/guardians after their lesson, not directly to the leisure pool.
- Please check the area around you before you leave the swimming area to ensure no items are left behind, and no food mess is left on the floor, etc.
- If you or your child accidentally makes a food mess, kindly clean it up using the broom and dustpan located next to the bin before you go.
