Objective Build

Objective Build, our new online platform for building consent applications is now live

What you need to know:

  • All new building consent applications must be submitted through Objective Build
  • All issued building consents (where the code compliance certificate has yet to be issued) have been moved to Objective Build
  • All building consents that were being processed as at 11 May have stayed in GoGet and will only be transferred to Objective Build once processing has been completed and consents have been issued (ready for building work to begin)

Getting started with Objective Build

To get started in Objective Build go to build.objective.com and create an account using your email address, name and password. If you’ve already got an Objective Build account with another council you can log into your existing account.

  • You can set up your account at any time
  • We recommend using the same email address you have used for past/active building consent applications, so these transfer to Objective Build
  • If you need to use a different email address, or have used more than one in the past, please contact build.support@objective.com with your details so your applications can be collated.

Once you have an account setup you will be able to create a new application with Taupō District Council and see any building consents being processed that you had originally submitted in our previous online services platform.

For assistance with the use of Objective Build, contact the support team at Objective Build who are available Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm (excluding public holidays).

Please have your application or consent number on hand before contacting the support team.

Some common support queries where you should contact Objective Build are:

  • How do I sign up?
  • How do I invite participants?
  • How do I manage roles?
  • How do I apply for a CCC?
  • How do I merge organisations?
  • Access to consents that are missing when I log in.
  • Permission issues on migrated consents (e.g. role changes between participants) as we are the only ones able to do so currently.

About Objective Build

Widely used by councils across New Zealand, Objective Build has been developed in consultation with hundreds of industry professionals, including builders, architects and designers.

Objective Build is designed to streamline the consent process for industry professionals. The intuitive design of the system makes it easy to see your consent’s progress, respond to requests for information (RFI), and apply for a Code Compliance Certificate (CCC), a Certificate of Acceptance (COA) or an amendment.

The application process is much easier, with automatic notifications in Objective Build (rather than by email) at each stage of the process. Apple phone users can use the Objective Build app to manage building consents on the go.

Any consents you have lodged with other councils in Objective Build will show on your dashboard, including nearby councils in the Central Hawkes Bay, South Waikato and Tauranga City.
