Amenity Tree on Taupahi Road

Details of proposed activity

For land use consent to remove Amenity Tree # 24 being a red oak (Quercus rubra) tree located within the road reserve adjoining the property at 43 Taupahi Road, Tūrangi. The consent sought is part retrospective as substantial parts of the tree have already been removed. It is proposed to replace the tree with a large grade tree of the same species.

The application for land use is a discretionary activity under Rule NT-R2.3 of the Taupō District Plan.

The application includes an assessment of environmental effects.

The application may be inspected here or at the office of the Taupō District Council during normal office hours.

Any person may make a submission on the application, but a person who is a trade competitor of the applicant may do so only if that person is directly affected by an effect of the activity to which the application relates that –

• adversely affects the environment; and
• does not relate to a trade competitor or the effects of trade competition.
