Application for resource consent

Section 95A Resource Management Act 1991

Taupō District Council has received the following application for resource consent.

6, 8, 9, 12 &15 Akeake Lane, Kinloch
84, 96 & 111 Lochridge Lane, Kinloch

Details of proposed activity

For subdivision consent to subdivide 15 existing rural-residential sites to create 44 residential lots ranging in area from 5000m2 to 4ha, whereby:

  • the proposed lots will not be connected to community wastewater network infrastructure;
  • the existing private roads will be altered and extended into two new public roads;
  • the proposed lots will be less than the minimum and average lot sizes for the Rural Lifestyle Zone – Kinloch Development Area; and
  • combined coverage of 10% is proposed for future development on the proposed lots, exceeding the 2.5% limit.

The application for subdivision is a non complying activity under Rules SUB-R26.1 and SUB-R26.2 of the Taupō District Plan.

The application includes an assessment of environmental effects.

Submissions

Any person may make a submission on the application, but a person who is a trade competitor of the applicant may do so only if that person is directly affected by an effect of the activity to which the application relates that –

  • adversely affects the environment; and
  • does not relate to a trade competitor or the effects of trade competition.

Submission forms are available from Taupō District Council customer service centres. Submissions must be in Form 13.

Submissions close at 5pm on Thursday 26 November 2026.

You must serve a copy of your submission on Lochridge Estate Ltd C/- Simpli Consultants Ltd, 2/20 Totara Street, Taupo, Attention: Scott Devonport, scott@simpliconsulting.co.nz as soon as reasonably practicable after serving your submission on Taupō District Council.
