Introduction
Taupō District Council is proposing to exchange a drainage reserve under the Reserves Act 1977 with other land owned by Council.
The proposed exchange involves a 711m2 part of Section 21 SO Plan 438781, currently local purpose (drainage) reserve, shown in red on the map below. The other land is a 2,553m2 area of stopped road owned by Council, being proposed Lot 102 on LT Plan 614613, shown in green on the map below. Both pieces of land are located on Crown Road, between Ashwood Ave and State Highway 1 (ETA).
The proposal is to exchange the reserve for the other land, such that the reserve becomes land held by Council in fee simple (no purpose), and the other land becomes local purpose (drainage) reserve.
The proposed land exchange is needed to complete Council’s Crown Road subdivision.
