Project overview
New water and wastewater
mains are being installed in Omori to future-proof this essential local infrastructure.
The existing mains are reaching the end of their service life and with the new water treatment plant in Omori coming online we want the whole network to be safe and resilient.
Open excavations will be used to install the mains along Omori Road. From time to time, temporary stop–go traffic management will be put in place along Omori Road, during daytime working hours only. All work areas, including road edges and berms, will be securely barricaded and fenced.
There will be some temporary water shutdowns as the project progresses; these will be for four hours or less and any affected residents will be given 48 hours prior notice.
The project is expected to be completed by December 2026.
